This is an interesting loft conversion. The existing roof was simply not high enough and was completely rebuilt at a steeper angle more suitable for habitable use. To the rear a large dormer was formed and at the front a generous pitched character dormer was allowed by the planners. The increase in height is often not allowed in planning terms as it can sometimes be detrimental to the street scene, but on this occasion was allowed, much to the delight of the home owner. The net result is a truly stunning master bedroom, with a walk-through dressing area and en-suite bathroom. The views from the rear of the property have made this a very worthwhile project indeed.
